Chalet Marie Stuart is on three levels and comprises six ensuite double/twin bedrooms, two of which can take a third bed. The spacious salon has log burning fire. Two sets of French windows lead on to a generous balcony stretching round most of the building, giving views of the Giffre valley.

The chalet is privately owned and operated by Caroline Morgan, a qualified chef with considerable chalet experience. You can enjoy superb meals – a substantial breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner with wine and liqueurs, preceded by an aperitif and canapés. Childrens’ menus are available for an early supper to allow you to relax in the evening. Special dietary needs can be catered for by prior arrangement.

LOCATION

Samoëns is about 1 hour from Geneva.
The chalet is at Le Petit Saix, just outside Samoëns. It is between the two main ski lifts, the new Grand Massif Express Telecabine and the Vercland Chair lift to Samoëns 1600. Both lifts are reached by the ski bus which stops within easy walking distance of the chalet.

Samoëns 1600 gives direct access to Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt. This area, Le Grand Massif, boasts 265kms of pistes.

NEW FOR 2009/10 - The new Chariande Express 6 seater chairlift replaces the two smaller lifts, thus reducing the transit time from Samoens 1600 to Tete de Saix & Flaine!

FACILITIES

The chalet has a separate satellite TV/DVD/video room, games and exercise room and a sauna suite with multi-jet shower and wc. Ski and board storage, a heated boot warmer, books, games, CDs, DVDs and videos are available.

Transport, ski passes and equipment hire can be arranged for you.

SPRING/SUMMER/AUTUMN - The chalet is open all year, and summer activities such as walking, cycling, white water rafting, parapenting and many other sports may be enjoyed. Ski lifts to Flaine open July/August - mountain bike and bus back! Samoëns has botanic gardens, two huge tree top adventure parks, and other activities for children, as well as many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops.
