Our first ever chalet in Morzine and five years on it is still a firm favourite with many visitors! Chalet ‘L'Etoile des Vents' combines traditional alpine charm with modern facilities to give visitors a sense of Savoyard charm in a comfortable environment. Set on the hillside above the town of Morzine the Chalet provides an ideal base for people of all ages and offers spectacular views of the surrounding area. LOCATION

Chalet L'Etoile des Vents is located on the hillside above the town of Morzine and offers guests some of the best views in the Alps from its balconies. The elevated position ensures a peaceful night of sleep and offers children a large open snow field to sledge and build snowmen in a safe environment. The town centre is approximately 15 minutes walk without ski equipment or shopping bags (more like 20 minutes on the way back up the hill!), but we do strongly recommend that you have your own transport when staying at this chalet (less than 5 minutes drive from the town centre). Please note that there are no public bus services on this road.

For all but beginner skiers it is possible to ski very close to the chalet and the reliability of the nearby piste has been boosted by the recent installation of new snow cannons. The main return piste for Morzine ‘Retour des Nants’ runs behind the chalet, and there is also a junction of 2 chairlifts approximately 400 metres up the road, providing a quiet and queue-free entry into two different sectors of the Morzine-Nyon-Les Gets ski circuit.

FACILITIES

The chalet sleeps 11 in 4 rooms:

-1 Double bedroom with a view of the pistes
-1 Twin bedroom with a view of the pistes
-1 Family room with double and bunk beds, & balcony.
-1 Family room with double and single beds, & balcony.

All bedrooms have ample storage and sufficient space to add a cot. Both bathrooms have a full size bath to relax those aching limbs after a hard day on the slopes. The chalet also has 2 seperate WC's.

Our prices include all tourist taxes and the chalet will be equipped with all the essential items to get you started (milk, tea, coffee etc) as well as up-to-date local information. Linen and towels can be provided if necessary at an additional cost. Your lift passes can be ready for you at the chalet and we are always on hand in resort to help with booking lessons, childcare, restaurant bookings, and pretty much anything else you may need.
